Edges No.3
- This rug is hand-made in one piece, without being joined later, using traditional rug and carpet weaving methods on kirkitli looms. It is a design registered with the Turkish Patent Institute under the name of Handan Loomworks.
- Since two warp threads are used when knotting the carpet, it is much more durable than knotted rugs tied with a single warp thread.
- The base of the pile, which we weave with the traditional Turkish knot, is incredibly soft. Its dimensions vary between 1-3 cm and are suitable for any furniture such as armchairs, chairs and coffee tables that you want to place on it. (Please contact us for special pile height.)
- The flat woven parts are woven with the traditional Anatolian kilim weaving technique. Thanks to its dense woven structure, it is resistant to the scratching needs of our cat and dog friends.
Plants collected from Anatolia and wool hand-dyed by the Handan Loomworks team are used in our weavings.
The product you purchase may have natural differences from the product in the photo. Slight differences in size and color tone are inherent in all root dyed hand-woven rugs. This is a feature that makes each product and its user unique.
Since the maintenance of handmade carpets requires care, we recommend that you take into account the following recommendations.
Please vacuum frequently.
Clean the stains with natural detergents before they dry. Bleach or chemicals containing bleach should not be used.
You can disinfect with electric steam cleaners using only natural detergents or vinegar.
Caustic should not be used in professional washing.
- We would like to remind you that a hand-woven carpet is unique and will become more beautiful with use. It is not possible to produce exactly the same product, even if it is similar in ongoing production.
- Each of our rugs comes to life in the hands of our master weavers who have been weaving for over 30 years. Since we weave with Kirkit, even the strength of our master's Kirkit strokes can cause slight differences in our rugs.
- In addition, due to primitive dyeing methods in root dyes, there are tone differences in the same color. This is a wonderful feature that makes each carpet and its user unique, just like the hand of the master. Since we dye our yarns one by one in cauldrons with the amount of root dye that manpower allows, there may be a 3% tone deviation in the same model carpets produced as a sequel.
- As you step on and use our carpets and rugs, the weft and warp threads fit together more tightly and over time they take on the most natural appearance.
The starting price stated on our website is per m2.
